Torpedo & Eco-Libris
Monday 21 January 2008
With 20
million trees being cut down per year to produce
books in the United States alone and only 5% of
them printed on recycled paper, you don't have to
be a rocket scientist to work out this can't go
on indefinitely. Falcon vs. Monkey have now
teamed up with green business Eco-Libris to make
a very unique offer to you, dear prospective
Torpedo reader. Pay an extra buck for Torpedo and
a tree gets planted, in South America or Africa
(in Malawi in fact, where an area of forest the
size of a football field is cut down every 10
minutes). That makes us the first completely
sustainable publisher in Australia. Here's hoping
some more follow suit! Check out ecolibris.net
for more info and details of how to balance out
your library.
